(Academic) Speech Therapist (m/f/d)
wanted on a fee basis (approx. 5 hours per week)


The Speech Therapy Outpatient Clinic (SpA) is a teaching and research institution of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the Technical University of Dortmund and an approved service provider for speech therapy. It was founded in 1984 by the Department of Speech, Language and Communication. Together with four other university practice facilities, the SpA forms the Center for Counselling and Therapy at TU Dortmund University.
The Dortmunder Mutismus Zentrum - DortMuZ is part of the SpA and one of the central therapy, counseling and research facilities for selective mutism in Germany. The Verein zur Förderung des Sprachtherapeutischen Ambulatoriums e.V. supports the SpA with therapy and counseling services as well as the training of rehabilitation science students by offering job shadowing opportunities.
We are looking forward to strengthening our team and are looking for you as a speech therapist (m/f/d) with an interest in working with children and adolescents with selective mutism.

Your profile
- Completed training in speech therapy or completed studies in a field of academic speech therapy (e.g. clinical linguistics, patholinguistics, rehabilitation pedagogy)
- Professional experience and preferably previous experience with the disorder of selective mutism
- Counseling experience
- Reliable and independent work
- Interest in linking theory and practice
- Commitment to guiding students
This is a freelance position on a fee basis with a scope of approx. 5 hours per week.
