The first symposium for the development of a city-wide strategy for language education in Gelsenkirchen took place in May 2024. Now, at the second symposium on December 5, 2024, various stakeholders from education policy, educational institutions and schools, among others, came together again to shape the further process and create a common understanding of language education. Prof. Dr. Anna-Lena Scherger contributed her expertise on a research-based view of the effectiveness of language education and emphasized the importance of all stakeholders working together from the outset.
