Systematic individual case study on new procedures in the language assessment of multilingual children (NeViS)

Currently, the interpretation of language assessment in multilingual children is difficult because there are no standardized test procedures, especially for young multilingual children. As a result, it is currently only possible to diagnose a language development disorder in young multilingual children to a limited extent.

The individual case studies in the NeViS project include children between the ages of three and four who are growing up multilingual and who could be identified as so-called "late talkers" due to a late onset of speech. The aim is to test and evaluate suitable diagnostic tools and support/therapy procedures for young multilingual children.
