Academic speech therapist (m/f/d) wanted on a fee basis
The Speech Therapy Outpatient Clinic (SpA) is a teaching and research institution of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the Technical University of Dortmund and an approved service provider for speech therapy. It was founded in 1984 by the Department of Language and Communication. Together with four other university practice facilities, the SpA forms the Center for Counselling and Therapy. The Dortmund Mutism Center, one of the central therapy, counselling and research facilities for selective mutism in Germany, is part of the SpA. The Verein zur Förderung des Sprachtherapeutischen Ambulatoriums e.V. supports the SpA with therapy and counseling services as well as the training of rehabilitation science students by offering work shadowing opportunities.
We are looking forward to strengthening our team and are looking for you as a speech therapist (m/f/d) for a one-year parental leave replacement (with the option of an indefinite extension) from August 2024.

Your profile
- Completed studies in a field of academic speech therapy
(e.g. clinical linguistics, patholinguistics, rehabilitation pedagogy, BA speech therapy) - Professional experience and counseling experience are desirable
- Reliable and independent working style
- Interest in combining theory and practice
This is a freelance position on a fee basis. The replacement currently comprises eight therapy units per week, five of which are for the replacement in the Dortmund University Kindergarten (HoKiDo) and three for the work on the premises of the SpA. The duration of the substitution can be arranged relatively flexibly by arrangement. At the moment, this involves therapies for children between the ages of three and eight with various disorders, primarily language development disorders (in the case of multilingualism) and pronunciation disorders. Additional units in the form of parent counseling in the university kindergarten are possible.
