Project group: Dynamic Assessment as a diagnostic method
Conventional diagnostic procedures often have a rigid form and, in the case of standardisation and normalisation, do not allow for individual responses to the test subjects. However, many children and young people need the test situations to be adapted to their complex needs. The project group scrutinises the applicability of the dynamic assessment method, in which assistance and offers of support to the child are permitted and desired during the test situation. The child's learning progress as a result of this support is included in the test assessment and may reveal broader potential. One focus of the project group is on the topics of narrative ability and perspective taking due to a DFG project funded from 2025 to 2028 under the direction of Dr Isabel Neitzel. Throughout the project period, theses (BA and MA) will be possible that relate to different groups of children of primary school age (children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder or language support). Individual specialisations are possible by arrangement.
