Project group: Interaction and perspective-taking with assisted communication

AAC can supplement, replace or precede spoken language in terms of development and offers a wide range of expression options for children with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. One area that has been little addressed in research is communication about the perspectives, intentions and emotions of others, for example classmates or characters in a story. However, this area is of great importance for everyday school life.

As part of the DynPer project the perspective-taking and narrative skills of different target groups are being investigated, which may also include children who communicate with support. Final theses that build on the project objectives and include, for example, children with special educational needs (GG, KME or language) can be completed within this project group with individual topics.
