Results from the "Erleichtert Leben-Projekt" Project in collaboration with the IB Department.

In collaboration with the IB division at Department 13, three practical guides have been developed for, among others, parents/caregivers as well as teachers and other professionals working with children, adolescents, and adults with Smith-Magenis, 5p, and Cornelia de Lange syndromes, and are now available for free download to anyone interested.

They are the result of the “Erleichtert-Leben” project, which was funded by the Dräger Foundation in Lübeck from 2022 to 2024 and carried out at the IB Department under the direction of Prof. Dr. Pia Bienstein and Dr. Dr. Reiner Haus.

Dr. Isabel Neitzel from the S&K Department conducted the relevant interviews with experts and coordinated the development of the guides beyond the scope of her project work. Additional scientific publications have also emerged from the project or are currently in preparation.
