S&K contributions at the fall conference 2025 of the Working Group on Empirical Research in Special Education (AESF)

The AESF will take place at TU Dortmund University from November 21 to 22. Dr. Isabel Neitzel and Dr. Eva Wimmer will be presenting research work from the field.

This year's fall conference of the Empirical Special Education Research Group (AESF) will take place at the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at TU Dortmund University from November 21 to 22 .

The Department of S&K is represented there with a total of three contributions (two posters and one lecture).

Lecture:

  • Till, C., Winkes, J., Eikerling, M., Neitzel, I. & Schaller, P. (2025, November). Development of a framework for dynamic assessment in language diagnostics in therapeutic and pedagogical settings. Presentation at the Fall Conference 2025 of the Working Group Empirical Special Education Research (AESF), Technical University of Dortmund.

The contribution comes from a working group on "Dynamic Assessment" that meets regularly via Zoom.

  • Wimmer, E., Röhm, A., Marten, I., Kramer K. L. & Göhring, H. (2025, November). "Math conferences" as a cooperative learning method for successful mathematical learning? A pilot study in two 3rd grade classes considering self-concept, class climate and language comprehension skills.poster presentation at the conference of the Empirical Special Education Research Group (AESF), Dortmund University of Technology.

The article presents the results of a project group (headed by Dr. Eva Wimmer, S&K, Dr. Alexander Röhm, CHIP) of three empirical theses on "math conferences".

  • Wimmer, E. & Neitzel, I. (2025, November). The narrative competence of 4th grade children - correlations with Theory of Mind, working memory and vocabulary. Poster presentation at the conference of the Empirical Special Education Research Group (AESF), Dortmund University of Technology.

The paper presents new results on the narrative abilities of 10-year-old children from the Dortmund longitudinal study.
